We were saving to go travelling but desperate for some sun so opted for a great value all inclusive deal in the Caribbean. Our hotel was nice enough although the food and drink options were fairly basic, but we spent most of our the week just relaxing by one of the pools or pottering on the beach and avoiding the entertainment! There were a few ‘characters’, our favourite being Brian who had essentially moulded to his chair, had skin of leather and was never, ever without a beer.
We did a couple of day trips, one to a sandbank which was lovely and meant we got to see a little more of the island. The other was a trip to a sea life centre which was fun but we much prefer to see animals in their natural habitats.
I’m not sure all inclusive is really for us as we like to get out and explore but lovely to get away and enjoy some sun nonetheless. And we did take part in the drinking games one day which turned out to be a lot of fun!
