Another festive city break! A quick scare on the plane as we almost got rerouted to Rotterdam but all was well and we landed in Amsterdam. We headed to Canal House, our home for the weekend which was very cool, all dark and sumptuous décor, with a good smattering of classy Christmas. First stop was Bakers and Roaster for brunch and it was so good, pancakes and mimosas went down a treat. Fully fuelled we headed to the Moco Museum for the Banksy exhibition which was ace and thought provoking as ever. After stopping to watch some ice skating at the Museumplein, next stop was the Heineken factory tour which was actually pretty good, lots of beer unsurprisingly. After a wander round the city, we stopped at Zoccola del Pacioccone for Neapolitan pizza and a bottle of red – lovely!

Next day was drizzling outside so we had a very lazy morning and then ordered some cocktails to the room while we had a bath, why not?! Eventually we ventured out and pottered around the shops and bars including a brief tour of the Red light District. Yes we went to a peep show, & no it was NOT sexy.
Dinner that evening was an audacious affair as we headed to Supperclub. This global party come dining experience offers a tasting menu with various entertainment in between each course, and rather than a table you have a bed, a great experience!
On our last day we woke us to very heavy snow but headed out of the city to Spa Sport Hotel Zuiver spa. This was such an amazing day, the spa is huge and half of it is outside so we spent much of the day in the enormous outdoor hot tub as the snow continued to fall around us, magical. The last night was a trip to Foodhallen, the local food hall which was super cute, and of course we indulged in an espresso martini!

A lovely city, would also love to visit in the summer so round 2 might be on the cards…
